BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Larson is a Director at Proterra and a member of the Farmland team, where she helps direct the firm’s agriculture investments in the United States. 

Prior to her position at Proterra, Ms. Larson worked for CHS Hedging as the risk manager for the group. Her primary responsibilities were managing and directing strategic modeling to monitor the risks associated with the activities of the FCM and associated customer positions. Prior to that she had a 30+ year career with Cargill, Inc. where her experience has been in trading and risk management businesses.

She has experience in financial products, agricultural products and energy products, in the United States and other world markets. Her positions at Cargill included Risk Manager with the NAFTA Sugar Division; Senior Trader with Cargill Risk Management; Cargill-Alliant Forward Curve Electricity Trader; and Assistant VP of Emerging Markets financial trading team. Christl has traded cash, futures and options in grains, softs, and energy commodities in almost all commodity exchanges across the globe. Additionally, she has participated in the restructuring of debt in several Latin American countries and has traded Latin American equities in both ADR and locally traded form.   

Ms. Larson received a degree in Economics from Smith College. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and German.
